Anon: I have always been at a loss to explain how/why when a Union does it, it's "politics".
When 2 lawyers do it, it's a "settlement".
When you or I do it..."extortion" - do not pass go, do not collect $200, go to prison.
There is no clear logic that I can identify that differentiates the three actions - but the differing definitions are merely tools of power, used by the powerful, when they choose to stomp the little guy.
Sounds curiously like threaten extortion on the unions part.
