Break a toe, walking is difficult and kicking is almost a no-go (Do not underestimate adrenaline and willpower - Warriors will continue to fight until you kill them or literally break them into pieces that make fighting impossible. Pain and broken joints will not immediately stop motivated folks.) Break an ankle, walking is out, the best you can hope for is a hop or a crutch. Break a hip or spine, the organism will collapse.
Look for the weak spots, know where they are and exactly what needs to be done to get there and break it into useless pieces.
The "Achilles Heel" is part of our lexicon for a reason.
