Examiner.com: Where is the Tea Party

I just posted my first Examiner.com article. We'll see where this road may lead.

It seems they'll let anyone write for them. ;)

Give it a read, here.

  1. Good luck with Examiner. I got fed up with them and quit a year and a half ago.

They kept changing the amount they paid the writers- always downward- and then started even fudging on how they calculated page views. I finally had enough. Maybe your experience will be better than mine.

  2. I doubt Sam is in it for the money.

  3. Maybe not, but I decided it was not in my best interest to associate myself with a company I found to be dishonest. My main concern was getting my message out. After ditching Examiner I got a weekly newspaper column and kept my blog. Those reach more readers (according to Examiner's own "stats") with less frustration. For me. His mileage may vary, and I do wish him the best, either way.

    1. True - and I didn't intend any disrespect to you if it came off that way.

  4. Thanks guys. It isn't for the money (though I sure won't mind if it generates a few bucks for the 527) but instead for the access it will provide.

I have several sets of media credentials and can open many doors in the area, but the title "DC Tea Party Examiner" will complement my current quiver nicely.

My primary hope is that it permits us to open lines of communication between the III/527 and the official channels of Tea Party & NRA groups where I can hunt for our natural allies.

  5. A journalist?
What are you...some kinda Mickey Spillane?
    You're not a writer!
    You're a killer!
Let me see your war face!

Sorry...I had a "Full Metal Jacket" moment.

Congrats. That's pretty cool. Now I can say I kinda know a famous guy.

How long until they let you post carp-gutting references?

They probably want you to ease into those types of topics.

    Good luck.

    1. Thanks Miss V. Sorry about the Facebook thing - I didn't know you needed one to comment. That's a rule I can't say I like much.
