III Arms: .45 ACP Hi Power

The Browning Hi Power was the finest 9mm I ever carried, in my misspent youth.

Kenny (Wirecutter) suggested a .45 ACP version, which I can't find fault with at all.

This one is a custom from Novak - and all I would add is an ambi safety (and .45). I think it's beautiful.

What say you?

  1. Man, I'll skip lunches and quit Copenhagen to save up for one of those.

  2. That's a *heck* of an idea, Ken. Very nice. Certainly would be a unique item for III Arms. Do the one with the bobbed hammer -- those look great.

  3. GREAT! The best way to improve this classic!

  4. Sweet, with two thumbs up ...

... but I'd like to own the III.308 bolt rifle you talked about before you put a second pistol into production.

Looking forward to seeing the proto 1911 at Brocks' PatCon.

    Cheers, Hans
    (in the NC woods)

  5. Never fired one, but HPs have always made my heart go pitter-patter.

It is my hope you can make all these guns you speak of, and make them affordable....'cuz homey ain't spendin' $1k on a handgun.
