It looks nice but I'm guessing this is just an entry level basic ar. You can get one similar for 700 to 800. How much are you planning to sell them for. The only thing that stands out about it is the paint job
ReplyDeleteAnyone shopping on price alone will find cheaper products in any category. The paint job is slick, and we'll have a full range of options on that front. The trigger job is custom, and the selection of components is from a trained Rifleman's experience. At some point buyers will be able to request any number of variables, from barrel to widgets.
DeleteIn my world, simple is better. Pull the trigger, gun goes boom (every time), target drops dead.
One thing unique to III Arms products will be the fact that the profit margin does not go into the pockets of corporate executives, but instead helps support Liberty.

Sorry - I didn't answer your primary question: Price. No idea yet. As anyone looking to buy/build ARs right now knows, parts are a problem, and finding quality parts is even harder.

There's a lot of mocking about pink on guns (and some folks take it wayyyy too seriously) but I will personally hire a Hello Kitty mascot and try to buy a license to paint their logo on III Arms if it helps young girls evolve a fondness for boomsticks. ;)

I actually wasn't mocking in the least -- my girls would *LOVE* a Hello Kitty AR. One of 'em has a "Kalashnikitty" shirt she likes to wear, and it totally freaks the local libs out when they see a beautiful 8-yr-old blonde wearing that! It's fun.

I know you weren't mocking. ;) And despite the aversion many folks have to pink guns, I think III Arms should definitely offer it as an option for those who are doing exactly what you intend - draw your daughters into shooting.

DeleteSeriously, tho....when something feels right, when you think you can make a difference, and when the grace of God and his hands in EVERYTHING you've done this year are more than readily apparent to even the biggest skeptic....honestly I have no choice but to believe this is the thing to do. His hands are on everything I've been blessed to touch this year...from the future wife Kayleigh, the last minute attendance of myself and K to the Liberty Summit in Mercer, to the donation of the kidney to my new 'sister', to the III Arms Company....
Sorry....this back story leave no doubt in what MY future is going to involve: Building the finest Patriot infused Liberty based community and firearms that this country has ever seen.

DeleteLooks great and I appreciate the skill, detail and effort, but I am personally not a big fan of camo-painted fire arms. Natural wood or black works for me, and if I think I need to camo up, I'll be looking for something old school like burlap or something similar.

BR: The concrete forms we'll use for the walls will be a stone & mortar pattern, then finished so the town is appealing and has an "old world" feel to it, instead of bunker-style unfinished concrete.

Not too long ago I saw something online about a clothing company that was offering a complete line of clothing in a grey color. The color was carefully chosen to match concrete. Especially in low light conditions it made a person very inconspicuous from any distance, in the city of course. So, this is actually a very practical idea that has already been implemented by someone.

ReplyDeleteJim, if I may be so presumptuous as to call you by your first name as we have never met, when this is all "up and running" you and III Arms can count on at least 2-3 sales for my family. We are well armed here already, but by supporting this and getting 2 (more ARs) for my sons and one for my 1 year old grand daughter is "putting my money and actions where my mouth is", as I don't believe enough people do, IMHO. The AR, like it or not, is the modern symbol of the sword, which has always stood for the difference between freemen and slaves, this is a household of free people, whether .gov like it that way or whether they don't.

Your offer to my wife was very generous and when you read the email she sent, you will notice she did take you up on it, which will make for a very special Christmas for my sons.
