III Battle Flag

The vertical red stripes are taken from the Sons of Liberty flag.

The blue field and III explain themselves.

What do you think?

**UNRELATED**  I am fussing with some back-room web stuff, and the Kerodin@Kerodin.com email may go down, because I am IT challenged.

  1. I don't care for it.
What does the blue field represent?

  2. I need a clairification. Is there going to be a distinction between a "III" flag and a "III Battle Flag"?

    1. Beats me - I'm just throwing ideas out there. I think if we have a "Battle Flag" that identifies the III specifically, then Old Glory can be our "non-battle" flag. Now, everybody duck, I just opened a very large can 'o worms...

  3. Not vertical red stripes, no bueno - looks like prison bars.

    1. Even though it was the original Sons of Liberty flag? I do have to remove a few - it is too cluttered with nine red stripes.

    2. Okay then, unclutter it and move the blue field (same size) to the center and let me see it. I like the sons of Liberty theme but the one you just showed dosen't work some how.

Also try the huge III centered on a blue only flag with a circle of stars (or) the same concept with a narrow white boarder surrounded by a narrow red boarder.

  4. Do you not like the III surrounded by a circle of stars on a blue field with horiz. red stripes? What about your above III with regular horiz. red stripes?
    OR
Visualize the entire flag a blue field with a huge III centered and surrounded by a circle of stars.

Any progress on the reading I suggested?

    1. Victor: Believe it or not 'lil Mikey Vanderboegh threatened to have me sued by Gail Nyberg if I used that image on my sites about 2 years ago. ;)

He is a small, small man.

  6. Hmm, how about moving the III to the center, as Victor said, having seven bars instead of nine, and placing a star at each corner of the blue?

  8. While I appreciate the sentiment, I don't think we need a new flag. We already have one. The Gadsden. Symbolically and historically it has the credentials.
