Jebadiah Fisher

Related to the premise of the post immediately below - about having sufficient stores for yourself and new friends who will come into your life after SHTF, is the ability to produce food.

You probably already have seed.  You may even have some laid-up for people who will need some.  But seed is very inexpensive, it will help make allies, and it will keep hungry people from killing one another.  Even if you are in the 'burbs and plan to stay there, if everyone of you focus on a different crop, you'll all be in abundance.

The weather this year has pushed back planting schedules in most zones.  Drop into JFGS and replenish what you plan to put in the ground this year.  Buy an extra assortment for yourself.  Add a few packages to your seed vault for that awful day when our world will become ugly, and you are in a position to help allies avoid starvation - with a handful of seeds.

Here's JFGS.

Unarmed Group wants NYPD to Disarm

As Brock notes: This ought to work swell...

New Yorkers - here's a hint.  You have allowed yourselves to be disarmed.  How do you really think it will play out when armed men who mean to be your Masters (the same ones who took away your means of defense) are told in your most stern and indignant tone to disarm themselves?  Will they self-impose a Time-out?  Think they'll sell their duty piece at the next NYPD-sponsored Gun Buyback?

Really, I want to know how you think this will play out.

I could tell you how it will play out - but some lessons in life one simply must learn on his own.

Here's the link. Banner story.

Shoot, Move & Communicate: Fundamentals & Fundamental Logistics

Something very important for Patriots to remember is that every piece of gear you own is, on some timeline, a consumable.  It will wear out or break.  It may even be lost, stolen, captured.

2 is 1 and 1 is none.

For the Patriot in a WRoL world, when Amazon Next Day Delivery is no longer your re-supply infrastructure, and jumping online for the crash course in X or Y is no longer an option, you either have what you need and will need, or you do not.

I hope you are building redundancy into your Liberty Games preps.  I hope you are building more than one location for essentials.  Learn from Zoomie and don't put all your best gear in a canoe and then go down the rapids.  ;)

Also, be careful not to deplete all of your resources on securing the best of the best.  The first priority is to ensure you can shoot, move & communicate.  Before upgrading to Cadillac-Class gear, I would suggest it is more important that you have enough gear to outfit a few buddies/new buddies with the same shoot, move & communicate necessities.  Once you have the fundamentals covered, then you can focus on better gear, or more versatile gear, et cetera.

I'll be the first to admit I am a gear snob in many ways.  I have been through a lot of blades in my life - from knives to swords.  Today I am fortunate that I am able to own a Randall - a knife I consider to be one of the best in the world.  But - I also own MANY Cold Steel GI Tantos, a few KA-BARS. These are cheaper knives (the Cold Steel GI is a simple piece of steel that is inexpensive,. and will kill a man just as dead as my Randall - and it'll work as a field knife as well.)  If knives have never been your "thing" - you have no need to buy a Randall.  You could buy 15 Cold Steel GIs for the same money and have 15 blades you can trust to do "knife chores" in a combat environment.  You'll have many to hand out, or to squirrel away - knives can break, just like any other piece of gear.

The AnyTone TERMN-8Rs we just purchased are a good representation of this philosophy in practice.  I am a complete Comms novice.- I began my martial arts training when several of our Comms experts began their radio experiences in life.  I will never reach their level of knowledge, competence or ability.  Nor is it my goal.  I want to make sure I can communicate effectively with the people in my Tribe, and that they can do the same.  I want to ensure I have sufficient skills to reach out to fellow Patriots a continent away, when needed.

The TERMN-8R suits my entry-level needs on several points: it is inexpensive, especially when you consider how many radios you'd need to buy to cover the same basic modes.  It also has the Frequency Hopping capability (between TERMN-8Rs) that is essentially only available on the Motorola DTR series - a radio that is not as versatile as the AnyTone.  The TERMN-8R gets me (and my Team) onto the Amateur band, while satisfying all those other needs.  I can cut (or grind) my teeth on the TERMN-8R until I am ready to move up into better, more versatile gear.  And when some of my Team "out-grows" the TERMN-8Rs, we can put them on a shelf for the new folks who will be coming to our camp when things get sporty.

The gear you have now is not the same gear you are likely to have at the end of the Liberty Games.  The same applies with your people.  Make certain you approach your role in the Liberty Games prudently, with an eye toward equipping your Team with the Shoot, Move & Communicate basics by any means necessary.  Once that is covered, you can start improving your kit one item at a time.

**Note**  The TERMN-8Rs are due in our shop tomorrow.  Holly and I will get them all into the mail to you by Thursday.

MVT Rifleman Challenge AAR

The first Rifleman Challenge appears to have been an extraordinary success!  Congratulations to everyone who dared to take the challenge, to those awarded the Rifleman Tab and the Vanguard Tab.
And I think we can all agree an outstanding Bravo Zulu! to Max for creating the Rifleman Challenge, doing the hard work of creating a set of realistic standards, enduring the peanut gallery and driving forward to put together a standard for the entire Patriot Community that is worthy of emulation.  When you encounter a III Patriot with an MVT Rifleman and/or Vanguard tab on his kit, you know that Patriot has met a serious standard.

I'm also very proud to share that Jim (in the above picture, far left in that handsome III Cap) won the III Society Scholarship and did us all proud by earning his Rifleman Tab.  Good for you, Patriot!

I hope many more Patriots out there are looking forward to the next Rifleman Challenge, and doing what it takes to get yourself to MVT and earn your tab.

Well done to everyone involved.

We'll post Jim's AAR when it is ready.

TERMN-8Rs - Order Placed

Thanks to all who who supported, whether by purchasing, or with moral support for the project.  It is satisfying to know that many Patriots and Teams are standardizing gear, across multiple AOs.

If you are coming to PatCon in Idaho, be sure to bring your radios (and your FCC Ticket) so we can all run these things through their paces.

For those who asked: Yes, we will continue to offer the TERMN-8Rs going forward.  I won't be able to offer freebie patches and pouches, however, since my cost per unit depends on bulk orders.  If I am buying just a few radios every month for demand, I can't hit the price-points needed for the freebies.  I did buy a few extras with this shipment, so we'll have some ready to ship. I may raffle a set for those folks who want to have a shot at a pair.

My thanks to those folks who ordered extra units to be raffled at PatCon.

I consider this another very successful III Project.  These projects only work because of you.

Texas Secession Backed by Russians

I ask all secessionists to wake the fuck up out of your delusions - if a Republic of Texas is a good thing for Communist Russia, how is it possibly a good thing for Rightful Liberty and the Founding Ideals in the DoI and BoR?

And DO NOT try to give me any crap about how you can use Russian money and power today to get independence, then you'll just kick 'em to the curb.  Sorry, but the recorded history of Man does not support that hypothesis.

Balkanizing America is exactly what the Enemies of Liberty want.

You want to separate from FedGov and govern yourselves in an independent nation-state - look at the 9th and 10th amendments, and apply them.  There's your "Secession", your "escape from Washington DC", without compromising the safety and security of every other Human Being on this continent - and without murdering Liberty.

TERMN-8Rs: Last Call for First Bulk Order

We are placing our initial Bulk Order for TERMN-8R radios tomorrow morning, so if you are planning to get in on this first purchase, today is the day!  Several radios in one:

Dual Band (6 Band RX) (VHF/UHF) GMRS, MURS, Amateur (Ham), Commercial Portable Two-Way Radio.

Is TO&E all set for your Team?  Are you in a position to help other Patriots who may not have Comms at this level squared-away?  If so, consider buying at least a pair, and in the notes section when you check-out at PayPal, tell us to gift your purchase to a deserving Team or Tribe.  We have a lot of contacts with Militia and other Patriots who rarely or never comment publicly, and as you know equipping a Team is an expensive proposition.  You can remain anonymous to the receiver and public if you wish, but your contribution will help Patriots who are fighting the same fight as you.

We need 1 more  (We broke the limit!) unit for this initial purchase in order to hit the price-point needed so we can include a radio pouch with your radios.  Patches are already in production, and will ship with every radio.

RevWarIII: A War for Glorious Amateurs

This is an OSS war.  This is a blue-collar, knuckle-busting, hit 'em with a hammer fight.

The Other Side has most of the cool Tech, the people to use that Tech, and the resources to field that Tech.  During these opening years of the Counter Revolution, the Other Side has an overwhelming majority of support from the average American, and they have more than half the people in America on the payroll is some manner.  They have the "See Something, Say Something" advantage.

At least in these early years.  The Truth will out.  Eventually.

What do Patriots have that the Other Side does not have?

Most importantly, we have the Liberty or Death determination to prevail.  The people on the Other Side who will be fighting want to go home at the end of their shift.  Going home is not the most important factor in the Patriot's matrix.

I have written in the past that this fight for Liberty has much in common with the militia of our first Revolution, and with the ways & means of the OSS under Donovan.  In both cases the battles were fought and won by "Glorious Amateurs".

And so it is today.  Most of the people lining up on the Patriot side of the fight are amateurs in the tradecraft of fighting and winning battles with spies, liars and men who mean to kill them.

But "Amateur" is not a dirty word.  Amateurs are not dependent upon institutional infrastructure to fight and win.  Amateurs possess common sense and a "Get it done" set of life experiences that are a monumental advantage over the Other Side.

The fighters of the Other Side can't even effectively field a Fire Team without their complex, overly-complicated support infrastructure working flawlessly.  And a Fire Team made up of LEO versus a Fire Team made up of Marines is, well, just a joke.

When the Other Side suffers a supply line disruption and sits defensively waiting for support, the Glorious Amateurs will pick up a hatchet, kill the Other Side automatons, and take their gear.

There are Glorious Amateurs among us.  When it is time, the way Liberty will be saved is for Patriots to roll up their sleeves and put in a good day of work.
The is a very good reason many serious fighters have no qualms about arming themselves with the Fairbairn-Sykes blade - it is utilitarian, it is void of the extraneous, and it gets the job done.

Study the OSS, how it operated.  Study the men and women recruited by OSS.  CA has three good resources by OSS-era Fighters linked currently.  Here.  Here.  Research particularly the Jedburgh Teams - unit make-up, operational parameters, successes.  Fewer than 300 men in 93 Teams made up the Jeds, and their contribution was significant.  Read their mission and manuals, here.  You will find the Jedburgh operational parameters will be a good fit for Patriots in this fight.  Small teams of serious men ready to do brutal work.

The fight for Liberty is already a bloody, brutal and buckle-to-buckle affair.  The Other Side shows us every day how they are willing and able to murder people in their own homes.  Defending yourself at your front door is suicide.  Betting your life that saving Liberty will predominantly be a 300-yard rifle fight is suicide.  This fight is not that clean now - why would it get less ugly?

Comprehensive Third Party TERMN-8R Review: Video from AmRRON

We need to order just 9 more units with our bulk order on Monday. then we'll be able to include a Rothco or Condor radio pouch with your radio and Resistor patch.  I encourage you to buy at least 2 TERMN-8Rs, even if you only put them in your cache.  Radios are consumables - they will break, eventually.  If you don't have the skill or the parts to bring your chosen radios back online, you'll need a fall-back position.

TERMN-8R: Need 11 More

You folks have been great.  I am very pleased these radios will be useful to so many of you and your Teams.  It also adds a bit of standardization among us all.  Just knowing that I can enter an AO of an ally and have the option to make first contact with the TERMN-8Rs using Spread Spectrum (Frequency Hopping) for security is outstanding.

We are 11 radios away from being able to send everyone a Rothco or Condor Radio Pouch with each radio ordered.  I encourage you to order at least two for T&E.  I really encourage you to order enough to give one to every member of your Team (including your primary Auxiliary members.)

Redundancy is essential in your Shoot, Move & Communicate Strategy.

Once again - we are placing our bulk order at 9AM Eastern on Monday - so secure your order ASAP.

Practical Tactical: Dropcam Pro Security Cam

One of the projects we'll be updating you about shortly is the new Studio.  So many of you have contributed to the project, we are eager to show you how it is turning out.  We are very pleased with the remodeling that was done for us.  The space will work excellently as both a dojo and Yoga/Fitness space for Holly's classes.  Look for a full update next week.

This post is about security, specifically the Dropcam Pro WiFi camera pictured above.  I installed one at the Studio and it is an outstanding widget for Patriots.  It is WiFi, which means I can check-in from any of my devices - tablet, phone, computer.  When we install multiple cameras, the feeds all go to the same device, so there is no toggling back and forth.  You can choose to record to the cloud as an option, so you have either a 7-day or 30-day record of what transpired.

The image is crisp, with 8x zoom, and even works decently in low-light.  I haven't added IR to the space yet, but I'll let you know how that turns out.  The camera is versatile.  You can set No-Go zones within the cameras field of view, and if any motion happens in that zone, you can get an email as a heads-up.  On top of all that, it has 2-way audio.

One of the uses we are considering is to give access to the parents of our school-aged students, so the family can click-in and watch the class.  Of course the primary role is security, and for getting eyes and ears on a space the Dropcam does a very good job.  You can get enclosures for mounting it outside as well.

Wherever you need eyes for your personal security, I can recommend the Dropcam Pro to you.

Here's the site.

So, if you intend to cull the herd, disease is one of the most effective tools.

Antibiotics could interfere with that plan.

So, Bad People take control of the antibiotics.

MVT Rifleman Challenge

To everyone taking part in the first MVT Rifleman Challenge this weekend - Good Luck!

Sparks31: Anytone TERMN-8R – Not A Review

Sparks31 has a post about the new radios, here.  He'll be able to run them through their paces at the Idaho PatCon in July.  I also will be shipping a pair to allies in the South East so they can do some T&E as well.

I am going to keep hitting the radio topic through the weekend.  As stated below, I'll be placing our order on Monday.  AnyTone assures me I will receive the radios in about 3 days, then they'll ship to you.  Also mentioned below, I had Zoomie's great Resistor graphic turned into a patch, and we'll be shipping one with each radio you purchase on our first order.

Now, here's something extra I may be able to offer.  Because of Dealer rules, I can't sell the radios cheaper than the price-point set by the manufacturer.  But I can offer freebies with your order to help give you a bit more for your money, such as the patch.  Here's the second freebie I would like to offer: If we can get just 21 more radios ordered for this first purchase, I will be able to send everyone a Condor or Rothco radio pouch with each radio you order, free. (That's in addition to the patches.)

Let's do this, Patriots.  Order a few extras.  As with any gear, two is one and one is none.  But also remember that when SHTF, you will have people coming to you for leadership.  They will be unprepared, but useful.  Be able to hand them the basics so they can help you shoot, move & communicate.  You'll never regret having extra Comms gear.

And remember: CPX Black Swan.

The Open Carry Fight as a Political Tool for Broader Issues...

Where are you on the Open Carry fight?

Personally, I think if Patriots began to Open Carry as part of their daily lives, the impact on the 2A fight would be swiftly notable and positive.

We've posed the premise at the III Society site for discussion.  Do you think the III Society should enter the Open Carry strategy?

TERMN-8Rs are HOT!

OK - the orders are rolling in.  I'm glad so many of you think this is as good a deal as do I.

To have what is essentially several radios in one is not only a money-saver for your Team/Tribe, but it reduces the number of items you need to carry when you kit-up.

It also gives you several Comms options if things get sticky - consider the possibilities if you and your Team are doing a piece of work, and all you need to do is "flip a switch" to change Comms platforms.  It may not defeat OpFor's ability to keep an ear on you - but it can slow them down and maybe even keep you a half-step ahead of them, at least for a while.

And I can't stress enough the value of the Frequency Hopping capability.  Even if NSA has the keys to that particular kingdom, Mayberry PD doesn't.  (Full radio specs/features are at the bottom of this post)

We are ahead of my expectations regarding the number of radios you folks are buying - which is great, and I thank you.  Not only is this a good deal for you and your Tribe, it is good for all of us in the Liberty Movement if we build even small bits of standardization.  The folks at AmRRON are standing behind this radio, and from the sales numbers of just the last few hours, it looks like this radio is filling a niche that needed to be addressed.

As mentioned in the first post, I will place our order on Monday - so be sure to get your order into us ASAP.  In addition to the Shoot, Move & Communicate patch that we'll be giving with each radio - if we can add just 14 more radios to this first order, we'll be able to include another small token of appreciation in everyone's order.

So if you need this sort of Comms solution, and you are thinking about ordering the TERMN-8Rs, jump on the PayPal link below and let's do some damage.  Take your radios with you to Brock's PatCon, or bring them with you to our Idaho event.  Get in the habit of using them when your wife goes shopping.  Get your kids a ticket and get them some experience that doesn't center around texting on the cell network.

Using the tools of the Resistance now will only make it easier when everything goes hot...

DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson: Quran ‘quintessentially American values’

Because the title of this post probably has your brain in a cramp, I'll repeat it: DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson: Quran ‘quintessentially American values’

This man has at his disposal the single greatest agency-level threat to Liberty on Earth - and he uses it daily to advance on the Founding Ideals of the republic.  He thinks you and I are threats to Humanity.  He thinks the Quran represents American values.

There is going to be a fight.  That's all there fucking is to it.

III Comms Announcement

**BLOGGERS**  Please help me spread this post to the Patriots in your audiences.

CA linked to a good review, here.

There appears to be significant interest in the new TERMN-8R tactical radios among Patriots here. Getting tactical gear into your hands is a critical function of the III.  So I am going to make it happen.  AmRRON stands behind these radios, and that is one heck of an endorsement. My Tribe is adding these radios to our kits.

I have decided that I will front my own cash to get the ball rolling for everyone, and leave the III Society out of the equation, at least for now. If you have looked at the specs for the radio, you know it handles the tasks of several radios, all in one.  For the III Patriot Team on a tight budget, this radio will give you more capability for less money, and with fewer pieces of gear in your kit.  Additionally, the Frequency Hopping capability takes tactical comms and security to another level, at a price point that simply can't be beat.  We will offer the radios at $135/per - a few bucks under MSRP.  We'll ship USPS Priority Flat Rate.  When you look at the PayPal drop-down menu below, you'll notice we include shipping in the price for whatever quantity of radios you purchase - it makes things easier on our end.

I am going to place the order in one week - Monday the 30th.  That gives you a bit of time to get your orders in to us.  However, please get your order in ASAP - because with the first 100 radios ordered we will include a free III Resistor patch for your Team members.  The patch is pictured above - another of Zoomie's outstanding designs.  So, if you order 4 radios for your Team, you'll get 4 patches, one for each Team Member getting a radio.  Cohesion.  Morale.  III.

If you can afford to do it, consider buying a few for your local Militia.  Those men and women are the tip of the spear for the Liberty Movement, and they need as much support as we can give them.  So even if your Comms needs are squared away, if you can afford it, buy a few radios for other Patriots.  If you don't know who to gift the purchase to - let us know, and we'll put them into the hands of serious III Militia.  Or you can simply let me know and I will send a few in your name to Brock so he can raffle them at his PatCon, or you can designate them as raffle items for the Idaho PatCon, and we'll get them to the Planning Committee.

If you can help your fellow Patriots - this is a damned good way to help.

**NOTE**  III Society members & current IIIGear orders: If you are one of the few remaining III Society members who have had SWAG delayed, or if you have a IIIGear order pending, we will ship radios & patches at the same time.  This will help us keep shipping & handling costs a bit lower.

I am a III Patriot.  I will continue to do everything in my power to help you and your Teams be ready to put down the threats coming our way from the Enemies of Liberty.  Comms is an essential requirement for us all.  If we can't communicate, we can't win.  To this end, I will donate the slim profit margin offered by the TERMN-8R manufacturer to the III Society general fund.

III to III.  If you and I don't do it - it won't get done.

There is a PayPal purchase menu below, and I'll put one on the sidebar as well.

In Liberty,

Further, if you think escalating tensions with Russia and China are coincidence as Domestic Enemies move against Liberty, I can't help you.

Practical Tactical: Field Fortifications FM5-15

FM5-15, here.

Old School - yep.

Works - yep.

If you truly believe you will be facing modern .mil troops with full logistical support, I'm not sure I can help you.  However - "Modern .mil" without their logistical support become plain ol' foot soldiers, with a need for skills they have never learned.

And if you think LEO is the primary enemy you will face, well - the recent Pennsylvania Cluster Foxtrot should encourage you all.

And if you anticipate roving bands of general people who have decided to rape, pillage and plunger - you can whip 'em all without really breaking a sweat - if you take the time to learn the Old School basics.

Shoot, Move & Communicate.

1.            All Rangers are to be subject to the rules and articles of war; to appear at roll-call every evening, on their own parade, equipped, each with a Firelock, sixty rounds of powder and ball, and a hatchet, at which time an officer from each company is to inspect the same, to see they are in order, so as to be ready on any emergency to march at a minute's warning; and before they are dismissed, the necessary guards are to be draughted, and scouts for the next day appointed.

2.            Whenever you are ordered out to the enemies forts or frontiers for discoveries, if your number be small, march in a single file, keeping at such a distance from each other as to prevent one shot from killing two men, sending one man, or more, forward, and the like on each side, at the distance of twenty yards from the main body, if the ground you march over will admit of it, to give the signal to the officer of the approach of an enemy, and of their number,

3.            If you march over marshes or soft ground, change your position, and march abreast of each other to prevent the enemy from tracking you (as they would do if you marched in a single file) till you get over such ground, and then resume your former order, and march till it is quite dark before you encamp, which do, if possible, on a piece of ground which that may afford your sentries the advantage of seeing or hearing the enemy some considerable distance, keeping one half of your whole party awake alternately through the night.

4.            Some time before you come to the place you would reconnoitre, make a stand, and send one or two men in whom you can confide, to look out the best ground for making your observations.

5.            If you have the good fortune to take any prisoners, keep them separate, till they are examined, and in your return take a different route from that in which you went out, that you may the better discover any party in your rear, and have an opportunity, if their strength be superior to yours, to alter your course, or disperse, as circumstances may require.

6.            If you march in a large body of three or four hundred, with a design to attack the enemy, divide your party into three columns, each headed by a proper officer, and let those columns march in single files, the columns to the right and left keeping at twenty yards distance or more from that of the center, if the ground will admit, and let proper guards be kept in the front and rear, and suitable flanking parties at a due distance as before directed, with orders to halt on all eminences, to take a view of the surrounding ground, to prevent your being ambuscaded, and to notify the approach or retreat of the enemy, that proper dispositions may be made for attacking, defending, And if the enemy approach in your front on level ground, form a front of your three columns or main body with the advanced guard, keeping out your flanking parties, as if you were marching under the command of trusty officers, to prevent the enemy from pressing hard on either of your wings, or surrounding you, which is the usual method of the savages, if their number will admit of it, and be careful likewise to support and strengthen your rear-guard.

7.            If you are obliged to receive the enemy's fire, fall, or squat down, till it is over; then rise and discharge at them. If their main body is equal to yours, extend yourselves occasionally; but if superior, be careful to support and strengthen your flanking parties, to make them equal to theirs, that if possible you may repulse them to their main body, in which case push upon them with the greatest resolution with equal force in each flank and in the center, observing to keep at a due distance from each other, and advance from tree to tree, with one half of the party before the other ten or twelve yards. If the enemy push upon you, let your front fire and fall down, and then let your rear advance thro' them and do the like, by which time those who before were in front will be ready to discharge again, and repeat the same alternately, as occasion shall require; by this means you will keep up such a constant fire, that the enemy will not be able easily to break your order, or gain your ground.

8.            If you oblige the enemy to retreat, be careful, in your pursuit of them, to keep out your flanking parties, and prevent them from gaining eminences, or rising grounds, in which case they would perhaps be able to rally and repulse you in their turn.

9.            If you are obliged to retreat, let the front of your whole party fire and fall back, till the rear hath done the same, making for the best ground you can; by this means you will oblige the enemy to pursue you, if they do it at all, in the face of a constant fire.

10.          If the enemy is so superior that you are in danger of being surrounded by them, let the whole body disperse, and every one take a different road to the place of rendezvous appointed for that evening, which must every morning be altered and fixed for the evening ensuing, in order to bring the whole party, or as many of them as possible, together, after any separation that may happen in the day; but if you should happen to be actually surrounded, form yourselves into a square, or if in the woods, a circle is best, and, if possible, make a stand till the darkness of the night favours your escape.

11.          If your rear is attacked, the main body and flankers must face about to the right or left, as occasion shall require, and form themselves to oppose the enemy, as before directed; and the same method must be observed, if attacked in either of your flanks, by which means you will always make a rear of one of your flank-guards.

12.          If you determine to rally after a retreat, in order to make a fresh stand against the enemy, by all means endeavour to do it on the most rising ground you come at, which will give you greatly the advantage in point of situation, and enable you to repulse superior numbers.

13.          In general, when pushed upon by the enemy, reserve your fire till they approach very near, which will then put them into the greatest surprise and consternation, and give you an opportunity of rushing upon them with your hatchets and cutlasses to the better advantage.

14.          When you encamp at night, fix your sentries in such a manner as not to be relieved from the main body till morning, profound secrecy and silence being often of the last importance in these cases. Each sentry therefore should consist of six men, two of whom must be constantly alert, and when relieved by their fellows, it should be done without noise; and in case those on duty see or hear any thing, which alarms them, they are not to speak, but one of them is silently to retreat, and acquaint the commanding officer thereof, that proper dispositions may be made; and all occasional sentries should be fixed in like manner.

15.          At the first dawn of day, awake your whole detachment; that being the time when the savages choose to fall upon their enemies, you should by all means be in readiness to receive them.

16.          If the enemy should be discovered by your detachments in the morning, and their numbers are superior to yours, and a victory doubtful, you should not attack them till the evening, as then they will not know your numbers, and if you are repulsed, your retreat will be favoured by the darkness of the night.

17.          Before you leave your encampment, send out small parties to scout round it, to see if there be any appearance or track of an enemy that might have been near you during the night.

18.          When you stop for refreshment, choose some spring or rivulet if you can, and dispose your party so as not to be surprised, posting proper guards and sentries at a due distance, and let a small party waylay the path you came in, lest the enemy should be pursuing.

19.          If, in your return, you have to cross rivers, avoid the usual fords as much as possible, lest the enemy should have discovered, and be there expecting you.

20.          If you have to pass by lakes, keep at some distance from the edge of the water, lest, in case of an ambuscade or an attack from the enemy, when in that situation, your retreat should be cut off.

21.          If the enemy pursue your rear, take a circle till you come to your own tracks, and there form an ambush to receive them, and give them the first fire.

22.          When you return from a scout, and come near our forts, avoid the usual roads, and avenues thereto, lest the enemy should have headed you, and lay in ambush to receive you, when almost exhausted with fatigues.

23.          When you pursue any party that has been near our forts or encampments, follow not directly in their tracks, lest they should be discovered by their rear guards, who, at such a time, would be most alert; but endeavour, by a different route, to head and meet them in some narrow pass, or lay in ambush to receive them when and where they least expect it.

24.          If you are to embark in canoes, battoes, or otherwise, by water, choose the evening for the time of your embarkation, as you will then have the whole night before you, to pass undiscovered by any parties of the enemy, on hills, or other places, which command a prospect of the lake or river you are upon.

25.          In paddling or rowing, give orders that the boat or canoe next the sternmost, wait for her, and the third for the second, and the fourth for the third, and so on, to prevent separation, and that you may be ready to assist each other on any emergency.

26.          Appoint one man in each boat to look out for fires, on the adjacent shores, from the numbers and size of which you may form some judgment of the number that kindled them, and whether you are able to attack them or not.

27.          If you find the enemy encamped near the banks of a river or lake, which you imagine they will attempt to cross for their security upon being attacked, leave a detachment of your party on the opposite shore to receive them, while, with the remainder, you surprise them, having them between you and the lake or river.

28.          If you cannot satisfy yourself as to the enemy's number and strength, from their fire, conceal your boats at some distance, and ascertain their number by a reconnoitering party, when they embark, or march, in the morning, marking the course they steer, when you may pursue, ambush, and attack them, or let them pass, as prudence shall direct you. In general, however, that you may not be discovered by the enemy upon the lakes and rivers at a great distance, it is safest to lay by, with your boats and party concealed all day, without noise or shew; and to pursue your intended route by night; and whether you go by land or water, give out parole and countersigns, in order to know one another in the dark, and likewise appoint a station every man to repair to, in case of any accident that may separate you.

Every Flippin' Day it gets Worse...

The most brutal fights tend to be the shortest in duration. Let's Win. Fast.

When the Court speaks of Congress improperly delegating power, what it means is Congress’ authorizing an entity to exercise power in a manner inconsistent with the Constitution. For example, Congress improperly “delegates” legislative power when it authorizes an entity other than itself to make a determination that requires an exercise of legislative power.

Mike has an excellent find, here.  (Relevant pages begin on Page 28 of the PDF)

We all know of the recent 9-0 win at SCOTUS for Tyranny.  We all know (especially if you visit RLR) that IRS immediately set about returning their gunsights to political enemies.

While I am a firm believer that Judicial Review may not be the determining factor of what is, or is not, Constitutional, and Justice Thomas relies upon that very premise as he cites court cases to support his general positions, his positions are not wrong.  The only "wrong" is his premise that "It is wrong because the Courts have said it is wrong..."

But I'll live with that wrinkle, for now.

Patriots have much work to do.
