K, is this supposed to be worse than the '96 blizzard? That was a blizzard! Two big storms right on top of each other within gays of each other.
I can't stress enough, get your preps in order now. Don't put off buying that Berkey water filter so that you can afford that new 70" TV to watch the Superbowl on.
I think this one is shaping up to be worse on several points. If power goes out again, as it usually does in Potomac when there is any sort of winter storm, people are likely to die. 2 feet of snow is no joke, as you know. Add the unprepared 'I'll just order a pizza' mentality that is so pervasive in the AO, and real problems are possible.

That bunch has been asleep at the wheel their entire lives. They might not even notice the transition from lobotomized .GOV employee to full-on zombie.
