Tribalism Rising

As the optics drop, so too the need for tolerance of your neighborhood tyrants and parasites.

PJB here.

Remember, say no to zip-lining sows and their ilk who take your money.

  1. Is it yet too soon?

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way. . . ."

Dickens. Again. A Tale of Two Cities. And why not?

London / Paris - compared one against the other; each held in it's own tension; as are the characters: all in doublets.
Each demanded to mirror the other, and failing in the most interesting of ways - This is that, to which I call your attention, that their failings come in the most interesting of ways.

And failings are always and only discovered, when things are examined in the light of expectations; be they our expectations, or those of others; Great Expectations, or low ones...

But who is the "we" in "our expectations", and who is the "they" which composes said "others"?
Do we determine such, either directly, or indirectly somehow by way of our expectations themselves?

Does God set such things in their order?
Or is it the prince of that other place, which bade such expectations arise in us?

And so be it, are we thus obliged to break free of their bounds, by the call of Heaven, and a rightful fear of Hell?

Words. And, more words. Well, why not, when words are what we fill our heads and our days with, mostly?

And were they fit to eat, our bellies too, would be stuffed with words. But not today.

    No, not today.

No, today shall be different -

Today, we shall accomplish things, and to heck with words, for all they do, or do not do.

Indeed, there is a madness in my method,
and I intend to infect you with it...

You see, when the day of action comes, you'd better be able to put all the words away.
    Can you do that?

Can you bid silence in your own mind, and operate your brain as a visual-actual machine, instead of your usual lingual-reactional machine?

Because that is just one of the transitions which must happen, neatly, in your mind; if you intend to survive the festivities on Day 0.

And stay sane in such survival...
