Enemies of Liberty are ruthless. To own your Liberty, you'd better come harder than your enemies..

If you are laser-focused on St. Louis & Berkeley...

...and ignoring the big, fundamental, sine qua non issues, you are allowing yourself to be led by the nose.

The largest threat to our prosperity is government spending that far exceeds the authority enumerated in Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. Federal spending in 2017 will top $4 trillion. Social Security, at $1 trillion, will take up most of it. Medicare ($582 billion) and Medicaid ($404 billion) are the next-largest expenditures. Other federal social spending includes food stamps, unemployment compensation, child nutrition, child tax credits, supplemental security income and student loans, all of which total roughly $550 billion. Social spending by Congress consumes about two-thirds of the federal budget.

Where do you think Congress gets the resources for such spending? It's not the tooth fairy or Santa Claus. The only way Congress can give one American a dollar is to use threats, intimidation and coercion to confiscate that dollar from another American. Congress forcibly uses one American to serve the purposes of another American. We might ask ourselves: What standard of morality justifies the forcible use of one American to serve the purposes of another American? By the way, the forcible use of one person to serve the purposes of another is a fairly good working definition of slavery.

Mr. Williams gets it.

There is nothing wrong with keeping abreast of the latest Sparklies.  But do not let the Enemies of Liberty draw your resources away from the underlying issues that facilitate their treason.

  1. The nonsense continues unabated.
As you know, the patriot blogosphere
has initiated their new campaign of
    intergenerational kid fights.
Well, they have redoubled their efforts
    to now include Newspeak.
A recent posting in the 'sphere' made a
determined effort to redefine the meaning
    of "off the porch."
And like those communist artisans whose
fluid dictionary defines logic, facts, and truth,
in which illegal aliens morph into undocumented
immigrants, and again into undocumented citizens; this patriot skilfully matches them.
"Putting every dime of my available funds toward things like the film, the Siege of DC, the Constitutionalist, the Patcons I have paid for myself and on and on is somehow not getting off the porch? Putting myself out there for ridicule and harassment by the IRS isn't getting off the porch?"
Obviously, I responded in the negative and
donated this definition: off the porch
To be belligerently up at arms, ready or eager to fight, violently protective.
This expression originates from the southern United States, where it is common for houses to have porches. To be "off the porch" means to be in your yard and looking for a fight with any and all trespassers.

  2. Again you correctly assessed the current state of "patriot" affairs in a single post.
Firstly, in discussing the intergenerational nonsense, which was followed by the hobbyists among us.
As a whole, everything has gone straight down
    the shit hole.
    JCD provides the current ridiculousness,
with pictures and statist comments of approval included.
It's all about the children don'tcha know.

  3. The majority of the III% and Patriot sites should just get a different hobby. The stench of failure pervades everything they do.

    1. Other than this little movie that TL attempted - which was doomed to fail for obvious reasons - I haven't seen a single 'Leader' do a single thing in years. (Aside from Brock hosting his PatCons).

None of them ever had any intention of living up to their hype, now they are trying to pass the torch to their 'kids'. All the kids can possibly learn from the current crop of 'Liberty Leaders' in the blogosphere is how to accept .Gov charity and paychecks until they are old enough to hand off the mess to 'their' kids in 30-40 years.

    2. Impossible.
      I doubt we even have
half a dozen years until zero hour.
      Hell, I'll shit a brick if post-Constitutional
America makes it to the mid-term's, without
resembling Gettysburg on steroids and meth.

But, but, but -- without "the power of the purse", Congress couldn't be a pseudo-parent to two thirds of the residents of this country (legal or otherwise). And without the power to subject the nation to DEBT, they would be so constrained in their ability to spread largess that they would not be able to secure re-election by the dispensing of it. larger things, indeed.

As for no one leaving the porch - CavMed, I believe this is exactly because of all the bickering and infighting among those who [at least claim to] want to see the Ferral Government trimmed back to it's Constitutionally-enumerated powers (at least for starters). No one is going to "go" until they believe a sufficient number of compatriots are also going to "go", too.
Put another way, "even among the truly brave, there is a big difference between going first, and going alone".

Thus the role of infiltrators and controlled opposition in the 'Patriot blogosphere' just as there is in the MSM -- I.E. Fox news has a definite purpose, and that is to keep the 'moderate' baby-boomers in line, submissive to their radical contemporaries by way of the 401K/social security/medicare hook which they refuse to spit out.
Just look at Fox's motto - "Fair and balanced" - this is such a '60s line, and this is *exactly* how all the 'normies' who came of age in the 60s think of themselves - as fair and balanced - regardless of the fact that they are the most proud, spoiled, spineless, and amoral generation that our country had (and still has) ever produced. If they were not so degenerate, then the "radicalism" of the 1960s could never have taken hold among them as it so clearly did.

Our prosperity has indeed been our undoing - but to be clear, it was their sticky boomer fingers on the knot, which loosed our current fate. The radicals could never have accomplished it by themselves; it was mostly done by the so-called "moderate" boomers, the 'go along to get along' type whose moral compass was then, and still remains aligned to one and only one question - "is it good for me?"

Had the "moderate" boomers fulfilled their social obligation, and disciplined their own generation for its excesses and outright stupidity, then the radicalism of their generation would not have had free reign to take root across our society in the period of 1970~1990.

    1. ...continued:

What has now metastasized into a terminal cancer, could have been dealt with as a 'fringe social movement', if only "moderate" boomers had looked up from their own money-grabbing hands, and paid attention to the signs of the times which were all around them.

Coming back to Congress and spending, and why I am certain that so-called "moderate" boomers are just as damned greedy and self-centered as they were in their youth, I will simply observe that, even back in the early 1980s we were being warned that Social Security and Medicare were headed for insolvency. The boomers have had 40 years - most of their working lives - to solve the problem, but all they have done is casually pass the buck on to their children, and demand that 'their entitlement' be inflation adjusted to protect their standard of living.

Pride. Greed. Egalitarianism. Intellectual Dishonesty. Lack of Moral Character.

These are the wheels on the bus which have been going 'round and 'round for the last 50 years,
carrying the boomers everywhere they wanted to be. But now they scream and cry if you call them to account for their lack of vision, lack of moral fortitude, their lack of love for their nation. And God help you if you suggest that they should give back one thin dime of "their" retirement money, regardless how far the hand-basket goes down the road to hell.

It's true, children pay for the sins of their parents. Those of us born in the '60s are going to take the beating earned by those who shagged their way though the '60s. And that beating is going to kill most of us. But regardless, I will not do like the boomers and casually push this thing off on the next generation. This buck stops with me; and unlike the boomers, I love my nation enough to bear up under that duty, regardless of the "inconveniences" it will likely cause me.
