Sparks31: Location

There's going to be a fight.

Let's win.

Where you choose to stand your ground will be a major factor in determining whether you perish, survive or prevail.

Choose wisely.

Sparks31 discusses the topic, here.  And when he says the Western Redoubt is different from what you know, especially if you are an Easterner - he is not offering a simple caution.  Everything is different here - most of those differences are in the "It's a Good Thing" column, and some are just "different".  Do not come here unless you are truly of a self-sufficient mindset.

But getting off the lines of attack is simply prudent, wherever you choose to meet the Evil which this way comes.

  1. Sparks should stay with the radio shit. He's a little sketchy when it comes to telling people that they have to move and where. The boundaries shown on that map are a joke. Eastern Washington and Oregon contain one of the largest concentrations of leftists outside of California and New York. From what I've been told, more than a few leftists already live in and are moving into the sacred Redoubt. While Florida is considered to be not such a good place I can assure that there are parts of this state that are just as remote as any in Idaho.

So let's don't get on the snobbery of I live here bullshit. Every square inch of this God damn country is infiltrated with "those" people.

Stick to the radio shit Sparks. No sense starting this crap.

    1. The map is mine - the Redoubt needs sea access, so the Commies currently on the seaboard have to leave. So I re-drew the map to give the Lefties Fair Warning. ;)

      Sparks is good people.

  2. Not arguing Sparks is good people. I'm just saying that he should stay with the radio shit. We don't need another bone of contention.

In parting let me say this. What Indian tribe is the only one not to have signed a peace treaty with the US government? From a biological standpoint, how much energy does a life form need to keep warm in a cold environment? Think carefully now. The two questions are connected.

Stop the snobbery now. I've had enough of it. And I will chastise those that participate in it.

    1. I don't think it is snobbery to counsel people to consider moving - any more than it is snobbery to counsel people to consider staying where they consider "Home". Let's not create issues where none exist.

    3. Alan is also good people - the sort you want at your shoulder in a ruckus - wherever that ruckus may be.

I think we all (FreeFor) need a good whipping boy - something/someone we can kick snotless until things get really sporty. Anybody got a candidate in mind? A particular communist, or commie organization, anything?

No shortage of those, eh? Glad you asked because it's the most critical issue going and the one thing that can turn things around.

Simply put, it's looking the wrong way.

  3. if I may interject - having tried to make the most of any opportunity to gather info from Sparks before his relocation, his urgency for relocation was impossible to miss... I'd guess it is that urgency that fueled his article....

in life, sometimes, it's the attitude and presentation of others which spurs our own actions... from a personal perspective, my wife and I are still not entirely settled as to where we will finally settle in for the festivities... arguments for both staying and leaving mount... neither of us know what the deal maker/breaker will be...

Yea no problem jobs, housing, living anything you have questions about just let me know...K put up a separate page for this but the lack of response's on it makes me wonder if anyone even looked at it...I mean I look at it this way if I could find a job that pays more, housing that's lower cost than what I'm in now, better environment for liberty and way of life I would be all over it which makes me wonder about people sometimes...

  6. Alan IS good people, and I'm certain that he's got the ground under his feet covered. The Seminoles won the war of attrition with fedgov back in the day, and there's no reason why it couldn't happen again. Depends on who's more determined, the ones trying to safely come back from their shift, or the ones determined to be free. First round went to the ones determined to be free. Alan and group are always welcome in my AO if their AO gets overwhelming attention. Lewis Wetzel

  7. Are you simply a prepper, or are you a patriot? The prepper wants to be as far away from all the ruckus as they can get; but the patriot wants his family on friendly ground while he brings the fight to his enemies in their ivory towers. The location requirements are totally different, because the objectives are totally different.

While there are pockets of scum and villainy damn near everywhere, the real question is, if you drive 30 miles out from their ivory towers and cement canyons, are you on friendly ground? If you can't answer that with certainty, then the area is a definite DQ, IMHO.

Start by evaluating all the logistical aspects of a location, in light of your intended objectives. No location is perfect, but if you choose well now, then you will have to make fewer and smaller compromises later - and unanticipated compromises may well cost the lives of kith and kin.

    Objectives
    Logistics
    Tribe/Team
    Training
    Operations

If you already have tribe/team, then solidify your objectives and logistics as a tribe. If you don't have a tribe, then finding one is part of your logistical requirements.

Do things in the right order, or feel the burn later...

  8. fact: there's not 1 singular FreeFor AO anywhere that currently has enough tribe to actually mount, maintain and extend an appreciably-sized "FreeZone"...
fact: every FreeFor AO needs and will need the hearts of "the people", LOCAL people - wherever that local is - for all aspects of support...
fact: in-fighting and division detract from securing and maintaining supporters and potential tribe members...
fact: while we're on the porch, seeing whose is bigger, better and reaches further really doesn't matter... what does matter is that we do what we can, where we are, while we can...

they're organized, trained, and developing an ever-increasing state of readiness/anticipation all the while adding to their cadre of incidental supporters through 2 majors efforts: 1) selective enforcement(or not) of laws already on the books(i.e. - illegals not prosecuted) and 2) expanding entitlements to all who will take them...

ours may seem, at best, a whizzing in a wind storm effort - but so too was the First Effort of this sort... here we are 240+ years later...

now, if you're still with me here, allow me a moment more: I've had the honor of meeting a few who wear the III and can say that whether in the woods of Maine, on sandy beaches of Florida, in mountains out west, or anywhere in between we happen to be (while trying to dodge hellfire missile drone strikes), it would be my honor to be beside any of you I've met...

so focus: pray for the best while prepping for the worst

    sincerely,

    your Chaplain, PP IIIPSA

    1. Your first fact is the reason why I do what I can to inform people of need to move to likeminded areas...I'm not saying everyone should move to my AO I'm simply saying we need to moving to Areas that have like minded people(Patriots) that have survivability, sustainability, security...My area has that so naturally I encourage people to give this place a look...Some here don't have that but want to argue that since they have made there place a home their not leaving no matter what...I'm sure quite a few Jews had that same thought I wonder how many of those survived...

  9. Anyone who has an alternative view to my blog posting on on locations is more than welcome to email it to me, - sparks31@unseen.is - and I will be more than happy to post it up to my blog.

I have lived both East and West of the Mississippi, and North and South of the Mason-Dixon line. And despite the American Redoubt being the best place I ever lived, I don't advise people move here without thinking about it long and hard. Actually, from what I've seen observing many Easterners, we really don't want them here in the first place.

The level of stupidity among Easterners in general, combined with the high population density, ensures that you WILL have an "encounter" at some point in time. I guarantee it. And it may be a minor encounter, but The State will get involved, with their statist attitudes, and an innocent statement, or gesture, or some wild hair a bureaucrat gets, will result in things escalating into the problem stage.

Who wants that? I don't, and if you're smart, you don't want it either.

It's not about TEOTWAWKI. It's not about the 3%. It's about freedom, quality of life, and not getting caught up in stupid. Remember the "4S" rule.

But like I've always said, if you disagree with my polemic then go start your own blog or FOAD.

"The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.” - Genesis 19:12-13

    1. Easy cowboy. I'm not bustin' on you that hard. I didn't wanna, but I guess I'm forced to explain further.

There is a level of snobbery with regard to where one is located. You just confirmed my assertion with your outrageous comment above.

While I'm east of the Mississippi and in Florida, I can assure you that is not a death sentence if the thing goes tits up. Try to understand this Sluggo. Let's just pick something like, oh, say, food and water. I live in a place where it is almost impossible to walk 400 meters in any direction without coming across a body of water. We don't have to worry about water much. There is virtually no cold weather here to speak of. My biology degree tells me I don't need a heavy duty caloric intake to survive a winter. I need to expend near zero energy to keep warm during the winter. Because of the climate here we have 4 growing seasons per year. Not only can we grow year round, but the soil is so good that almost anything put in the ground grows like wildfire with minimal tending. Rain is regular enough that even precludes having to water. I also don't have to haul around a bunch of cold weather gear to survive sub-freezing temperatures. I travel lighter as a result and need less compared to those in the cold climes.

That said, it still ain't Nirvana. We got critters. Snakes, spiders, scorpions and the Florida state bird, the mosquito. But we also have gators out the ass, pigs in such quantity that they are destroying land and are allowed to be killed at will. We also have copious amounts of deer and turkeys in the back country as well as smaller animals like raccoons, possums and armadillos.

I've been to your neck of the woods. Your environment can't hold a candle to this place with regard to the basics of survival. Your screed addressed none of these points and was based solely on the belief that we're all idiots here if we don't adhere to your idea of what place is survivable. I assure you Jackson, we'll be just fine.

Now, do me a favor. Get working on how all of us are gonna communicate with each other for the upcoming National Patriot Field Day. I don't need to listen to yours or anybody else's yap about how my AO is a poor choice and not survivable. Let me worry about that. What I need is to get my people some experience and make some new friends.

Just do it. There's no time for this bullshit. Please.

    2. Its not snobbery OP its wanting you to have the best shot at survival and to be around others of like mind when it comes to freedom...Florida has almost 20m people living in it which equals out to 350 people per square mile...How long do you really think the wildlife is going to last with everyone and their brother out shooting things...Sure you have a great climate and good soil I will give you that ...Where do you think people are going to gravitate when things go south and they haven't prepared its sure not going to be a cold climate...You are going to be fighting year round down which means there are just more opportunities for OpFor or FSA to take you out...I don't know what part of the country you think I am in but the water up here is plentiful and the climate is pretty mild...They don't call it the banana belt of MT for nothing...I get it you don't want to move and if you get pushed out of there and make it this far I will set an extra plate for you...

Dumbass, what do you think is the average age here? Think carefully now. Even you should be able figure it out. The answer is old. Did ya get it? Probably around seventy. Let me clue you in ace, those fuckers ain't gonna survive long.

You wanna keep this up? I live here you fuck. Pretty much over 60 years now. You ain't never stepped foot in this state.

  12. So fellas, I'm not known to comment on posts, I study them seeking wisdom. Although I firmly beleave with enough advanced planning nearly any region of this country will remain survivable, certainly some have advantages over others, more important is being intamately familiar with your chosen location. What I would like to day however is this, with this blog visible to every and anyone be they real Americans or oppositional the visible aggitation between several here displays zero solidarity and could easily dissuade someone seeking truth and answers. Unless I misunderstand the fundamental purpose of this blog, shouldn't each participant be engaged in productively planning for each other regardless of their established "safe zone"? Please believe me when I sincerely say if I didnt already clearly understand what lies ahead for each of us I would have read through the post shaking my head, in-fact to some degree I did. Now, if I were one of the liberal types perusing the net looking for ammunition to cause negative media about Patriotism this would be "JENGA". Your going to have to trust I mean no disrepect with this extensive post, I've no question each individual here is sincere and faithful in their faith and patriotism to America, I do however think that if true Americans are portrayed as unable to get along within their own ranks before the true S actually HTF it will have an even greater negative impact before the game even starts.
    Thanks for considering it Men
