Range -219 yd (200 m)

Sand
14 in (355.6 mm)
Clay
28 in (711.2 mm)
Concrete
2 in (50.8 mm)

Keep in Mind this is with Ball ammo, penetration with SLAP or AP rounds will be much greater. Also repeated hits to the same area will "chew" through an otherwise solid fronting. There is no safe cover from .50cal full auto weapon (vs. rock, brick, concrete). Hardened face armor over 1' can provide some protection, but even that can be penetrated with repeat hits (or AP rounds). Hope that helps.

M2 ammo ballistics- http://www.inetres.com/gp/military/infantry/mg/50_ammo.htmlSandmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17135763144923309649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4236695365244926782.post-6883472990159617302014-02-15T22:55:41.946-08:002014-02-15T22:55:41.946-08:00Thanks Loco - point taken. ;)Thanks Loco - point taken. ;)Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17465944474238091234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4236695365244926782.post-60101798960327563792014-02-15T20:43:35.495-08:002014-02-15T20:43:35.495-08:002 and a half feet concrete, with plywood behind to...2 and a half feet concrete, with plywood behind to catch the shitAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4236695365244926782.post-10710496149195127972014-02-15T14:54:21.211-08:002014-02-15T14:54:21.211-08:00how many inches of rock, brick, concrete do you wa...how many inches of rock, brick, concrete do you want as cover to feel safe when being fired at by the .50?
Ahhh I would change that to FEET!!!Loco Gatohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12687378614711176030noreply@blogger.com
